On approaching Fairoaks from the South/East unless it’s unsafe to do so or Farnborough ATC requests you not to do so, on approach to Ockham or overhead to the East of Guildford you actively start a descent to remain clear of the Farnborough 2000ft base of controlled airspace (CTA1) directly South of Woking to arrive in the vicinity of Woking Towers at 1400 ft inbound to the field.
