Membership

Membership of London Transport Flying Club is open to all these days - you don't have to be a bus driver. Though LTFC had it's roots as a London Transport sports association it's independent now and members range from firefighters to tv producers to - yes - bus drivers.

Come along and visit, maybe take a ride. Then fill in the membership form. We'll take it from there.

Full Annual Membership: £140 per annum (rate for 2008 Jan 1st - Dec 31st)
charged pro-rata from the joining date, with one-off a joining fee of £50. Both inc VAT.

Our flying rates don't have hidden extras, like landing fees and VAT - we charge ourselves a straightforward all inclusive hourly rate. If you're training, you'll need to pay your instructor, and if you land somewhere other than Fairoaks you'll have to pay for that.

The rates are cheaper than most. We don't put them on this site because we only want people who want to be part of a club, not just a company run school. You'll need to come and visit or chat on the phone to find out - we're not intimidating and certainly not posh. In return for low cost flying, members are expected to join in where they can - bring whatever outside skills they have, or just sweep the floor now and then. There are no employees, so the bins don't get emptied unless we do it.
